About Tia Rahmania - Psychologist, Academic, and Social Advocate
For more than two decades, Tia Rahmania has devoted her career to academia, psychology, and community service. She is known as an influential woman consistently advocating for better education quality, mental health awareness, and family well-being in Indonesia.
Who is Tia Rahmania?
Tia believes that empowered women are the key to realizing Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045, a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and strong in character.

A graduate of the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Indonesia (S.Psi., M.Psi.), Tia is currently pursuing her Doctoral studies at Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I.
Dean & Lecturer at Paramadina University
Since 2009, Tia has been a lecturer at Universitas Paramadina and served as Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Civilization (2017–2022).
Social Activist
Tia plays active roles in various organizations — including Chair of the Indonesian School Psychologists Association (APSI) Banten Chapter, Chair of Esports Indonesia (ESI) Pandeglang, and Mentor for Banten’s “Generasi Berencana”.

As a researcher, she has published numerous national and international papers and contributed to several collaborative books addressing psychology, leadership, ethics, and social empowerment.
Journey & Milestones
2001 - 2004 | The Beginning in Psychology
Tia’s journey began at Universitas Indonesia, where she discovered her passion for understanding how children and adolescents form identity and character. For her, psychology is about helping people grow with health, empathy, and purpose. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she pursued a Master of Professional Psychology specializing in Developmental and Industrial Psychology strengthening her counseling and research expertise as the foundation of her career.
2009 - 2015 | Academic Service at Paramadina University
Tia joined Universitas Paramadina in 2009 as a Psychology Lecturer. Teaching, for her, is not merely about sharing theories but encouraging students to think reflectively and engage with real social issues. Known for her approachable mentorship, she has guided many young researchers and developed academic programs that respond to community needs.
2012 - present | Founding Paramadina Psychology for People (PPFP)
Driven by the belief that science should serve society, Tia established PPFP a platform that connects academic psychology with daily life. Through PPFP, she and her team provide counseling, research, and training services for schools, communities, and organizations. The programs address issues such as adolescent mental health, teacher well-being, and organizational dynamics.
2016 - 2017 | Head of Psychology Program, Universitas Paramadina
As Head of the Psychology Department, Tia strengthened the curriculum to align with the challenges of modern times. She combined classical psychological theories with humanistic and applied perspectives, aiming to nurture adaptive, empathetic, and socially responsible graduates.
2017 - 2022 | Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Civilization
As one of the few female deans at Paramadina University, Tia led with inclusivity and collaboration. She initiated partnerships across institutions, expanded academic publications, and positioned the faculty as a vibrant hub for interdisciplinary learning and research.
2019 - 2023 | Chair of APSI Banten Chapter
In her leadership role, Tia worked to create psychologically safe school environments. She trained counselors, supported educators, and advocated for mental health integration in the education system.
2020 - 2023 | Chair of Esports Indonesia (ESI) Pandeglang
Recognizing the potential of the digital generation, Tia embraced esports as a platform for character building. Under her leadership, ESI Pandeglang became a space that nurtures sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership among youth.
2023 - present | Mentor for Banten’s GenRe Program
As a mentor in the Generasi Berencana program, Tia continues her advocacy for family resilience and stunting prevention. She works closely with adolescents and parents to promote reproductive health education and sustainable family development.
